Texas Killer David Conley Admits To Murdering Six Kids Because They Were
The Houston psycho who confessed to killing his girlfriend, her husband and six children blamed his victims for the carnage in a prison interview Tuesday – and used the worst phrasing possible to talk about the son he allegedly handcuffed and shot.
In its 2013 lawsuit, CPS noted Conley’s history of domestic violence against Valerie Jackson and stated that the “mother’s lack of control and parenting skills places the children in immediate danger”.
Conley also said he didn’t feel the children were being raised properly. Nathaniel Jackson is the son of Ms. Jackson and Conley. “Especially the lives of the young ones”, said chief deputy Tim Cannon of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Those killed at the house Saturday were: Jackson, 40; her husband, Dwayne Jackson; and her children, 13-year-old Nathaniel; 11-year-old Honesty; 10-year-old Dwayne; 9-year-old Caleb; 7-year-old Trinity; and 6-year-old Jonah. “I’m not even saying I killed them”, said Conley.
“I love Nate. I love Nate to death”, Conley said. In 2002, he was charged with felony retaliation against Valerie and, due to two previous felony convictions, could have gotten 25 years to life behind bars, KHOU reported.
When her husband reportedly moved back in, Conley said he was in shock. “I understand, like you said, all these people are dead but Valerie wasn’t a Good Samaritan”.
At the end of Conley’s interview, he broke down crying.
Court records show that about five months before CPS took custody of the children, Conley was arrested for threatening Jackson with a knife.
“Anytime you hear about something that’s this heinous, anytime you hear about the death of this many children in a single event, it is hard”.
After authorities learned that Conley, who had once lived in the home, had a warrant for his arrest for an assault charge, the sheriff’s office High Risk Operations Unit was called.
A stand-off ensued for several hours until Conley surrendered, said Sergeant Craig Clopton, the lead investigator.
Conley is next scheduled to appear in court September 15.
In 2013, Judge Glenn Devlin ordered the six children belonging to Valerie Jackson out of foster care to resume living with their mother, against the wishes of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Ms Anderson said it would be three to four months before she decides whether to seek the death penalty. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to nine months in the county jail. “At no time did CPS (Child Protective Services) state that there was a current or immediate threat of violence from anyone”, the statement read.
Devlin said that at least one of the children had been physically abused while in the care of a foster family.
