Texas Neighbor Feud Culminates With Woman Posting This Attention-Grabbing
The disagreement began about six months ago when the Price’s next door neighbor – whom Lisa Price said has rented the home for a couple years – began complaining about the Prices’ barking dogs. “You do not call the police on your neighbor for something like that”. “It’s on the street across from me!'” she said. A sign outside a home advertises it’s for sale “because my neighbor’s a douchebag”. Golfers can often be seen taking a break between swings to take photos, turning the house into a something of a tourist attraction.
The Prices first started feuding with the man after he made “constant” complaints to the council about their two pet dogs, which he said were disrupting him by barking before 9am, CBS reports. The Prices aren’t really planning to move; they just want to raise awareness to their bad neighbor.
“We got a doggie door, we keep them in, we bring them at dark”, Price said. One points towards their back bedroom.
The Prices posted the sign in their yard after they received a $121 ticket from Animal Control. The Prices admit to letting their dogs bark all day.
It all started over Price’s barking dogs, which she said the neighbor knew about when he moved in. We obviously have had to be pushed pretty far to go to this extreme. We thought if we did that, he’d catch on and leave us alone.
“All our neighbor has to do is come over and talk to us and take the cameras down and be a nice neighbor”, she said.
The Prices said the sign will stay up, although they’re more interesting in getting their neighbor to apologize and pay for the ticket than they are in actually selling the house. “I’m sorry if it’s offensive to someone, but we didn’t put a curse word on it”.
The city considers it to be a real estate sign and as long it meets city codes, which it does, no action can be taken against Price.
