Texas Southern University On Lockdown After 2 Students Are Shot
Texas Southern University is on lockdown after two people were shot today near a school residence hall, a spokesperson for the school told ABC News.
Scanner traffic from the Houston Fire Department revealed paramedics may have performed CPR on at least one of the shooting victims, the Chronicle reported.
The university said that classes had been cancelled for the day. The shooting is the third reported this week on or near the university campus – another alleged shooting took place in the same area late Thursday.
Police said the latest shooting may have been the result of an argument. Police have one person in custody. “It’s really nerve-racking feeling that a person here could have a gun”.

Meanwhile, in Arizona, university officials said student Steven Jones was arrested immediately after the shooting and faced one count of first-degree murder and three of aggravated assault. “There’s no enforcement. There’s no way that outsiders should be allowed in a person’s dorm room”.
Classes at the university will resume on Monday. “It’s insane. It’s broad daylight’ she said”. The writer threatened to commit suicide on campus on Friday.
Eight days ago, nine people were killed by a gunman at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.
He also reportedly said: “This is becoming too regular”.
