That Metal gear Solid V Quiet bug has finally been patched
“The same fix for other platforms are coming”, the Metal Gear team said in a tweet.
Xbox One and previous generation owners will still have to be on the lookout for a short while.
Konami’s online servers for Metal Gear Solid V have weathered their own issues in the days following the game’s launch, leaving many players unable to connect.
That doesn’t even begin to address all of the mysterious bits that may not be accessible in the game, like Kiefer Suther reciting the same list of Japanese train station names that have mysteriously recurred throughout the series. The only current workaround involves simply not taking Quiet on those numbered missions.
Fixed and issue where under specific conditions, the game halts progression in the black screen displayed after clearing Mission 29 and Mission 42.
You’ve also got a nifty seabound base to look after and an army to build. The latter objective provides one of the game’s continuously amusing moments.
The patch from Konami will take 435.8 MB memory on the PS4, and comes with many fixes. The daily login bonuses will be changing every day, and will update at 1PM PST/10AM CEST/5PM JST.
Konami has released a Steam and PS4 patch for the game save-corrupting bug, with a patch for other platforms expected to be released shortly. We expect to see a almost identical patch for the Xbox versions of the game early this week, as well.
Data miners have rummaged through the files of Metal Gear Solid 5 on PC, only to discover evidence of an entire chapter that never made the final cut. If you’re playing on a Microsoft console, have you received a notification about the fix?
“We deeply apologize, and appreciate your patience for further announcements regarding this issue”.
