The 2016 Royal Rumble’s best potential surprise entrants

This rematch comes after the title changed hands twice last week on Raw and SmackDown.

Since the news broke that AJ Styles had left NJPW to sign with WWE along with Shinkse Nakamura, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, the rumours were that he would appear at their flagship show Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns could keep the WWE World Heavyweight championship, but enter an altercation with Brock Lesnar or Triple H by the end of the match. He would be in line with two of the WWE’s biggest stars, Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin.

Kalisto upset Del Rio on the January 11 edition of Raw to win his first single’s title. In this instance Lesnar and Reigns are representing WWE as the biggest stars and nothing says star power than a match between these two at WrestleMania.

One of the most popular events on the WWE circuit is the Royal Rumble, a contest where 30 wrestlers participate in a battle royal style match where each participant is eliminated by being thrown over the top rope onto the floor.

With stars like John Cena, Sting, Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan likely unable to have at match at WrestleMania 32 because of injuries, WWE would certainly like to have The Rock on the card.

The challenge will be extremely hard for Reigns as he had a similar match on Monday. Who should he face at Wrestlemania? How the creative team uses this angle at the Royal Rumble and at Fastlane will help define both women’s careers this coming year. This year’s Rumble has potential to be truly history-making: the victor will have the right to compare himself to Ric Flair as the only men to win the title in the Royal Rumble, and some sort of big angle is guaranteed to establish the title challenger for the historic show in AT&T Stadium. I get chills thinking about all of the wonderful match-ups that he could have with the WWE roster.

He told the crowd that if, “There’s a spot in the Royal Rumble…” but was cut off by the fans telling him, “You deserve it”, which of course, he does (should it eventually happen) but he after thanking the passionate audience, he quickly got back on track, delivering his clear message about his future. While the times are different and there is only one promotion to deal with, Charlotte must prove she can stand on her own two feet at some point.
