The €66 million winning Euromillions ticket was sold in Carlow town
A Briton has come forward to claim the £24million EuroMillions jackpot won on Friday, Camelot has confirmed.
The claim, which needs to be validated, could see the unknown ticket-holder receive the money as early as Monday.
It’s not known if it’s a single victor or a syndicate who have claimed the EuroMillions prize.
“After an unprecedented nine UK EuroMillions winners in 2015, it looks like the luck has rolled over into 2016”, a National Lottery spokesman said.
“These are the 84th and 85th millionaires Lotto has made since October, a record breaking run”.
The National Lottery Lotto numbers were: 15, 16, 23, 39, 48, 59 and the bonus ball was 36. One player matched all the numbers to win the jackpot of £32,534,188.
No tickets matched all six winning Florida Lotto numbers, so the jackpot now rises to $43 million.
A total of 144,759 people matched three numbers, winning £25 each, while 1,476,976 people won a free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two numbers.
“We are completely dumbstruck to have won this fantastic prize”.
The winning Thunderball numbers were 29, 05, 32, 04, 06 and the Thunderball number was 02.
