The Bachelor Season Finale: Nick Viall is Engaged To…
But here’s the thing: They won’t. I read once in Oprah magazine at the hairdresser’s that we don’t choose partners who are worthy of us because we don’t want that them to be “a permanent witness to our flaws”.
Nick Viall has stood there before – twice before – at the ending of another Bachelor season. Only one of twenty leading men on “The Bachelor” has ever married his chosen bachelorette.
“I’m very attracted to confident, intelligent and sexy women who just act like they belong in a room, so to speak”, he said. “[But] if we, in our hearts, decide to get engaged, it’s because that’s how we feel”. Literally. She has an IMDB page.
Their relationship started with him kissing her while she was puking, so why not? Nick’s dad, Chris, was concerned that Vanessa was too close to Nick’s “type”, and that would result in his usual heartache, but after Chris’ tearful one-on-one with her, he was convinced that Vanessa loved his son. People, we’ve been fooled… But it’s cool that the audience will see a few, right? “All I could think about this morning, when I figured out where my heart was, was how much I loved being next to you last night”.

The next day, Vanessa visits Nick’s family and comes in guns blazing.
They haven’t had the same issues since the proposal, but the distance, hardships of watching his other relationships play out on TV, conflicting-yet-similar personalities and what she describes as “a lack of empathy” towards her experience on the show have led to new challenges. Let’s make sure that you can get through a meal together before you link yourselves to each other for life. Vanessa always seems to be mad at or disappointed in Nick. His face kinda gave it away, but she still told him how she felt – I felt so bad for her. That night, she dug for any bit of reassurance she could get, but Nick wasn’t giving it up. Their connection seemed real, and Vanessa became an instant fan favorite. Vick says that everything is good between him and Vanessa and he’s very happy. He assured them he had a lot of questions to ask himself before making the decision, and left presumably to do so.
Things wouldn’t have worked out with Raven, either.
Nick then meets with Raven for some much needed fun. Nick confirms how much his family loves Raven before bringing out direwolves husky puppies, making a flawless day even more ideal.
That was a lie. She is ready to take the next step in their future together. She’s the flawless mix of adorable and low-key insane – which is why our fingers are crossed that we’ll soon see her again on “Bachelor in Paradise”.
Throughout the season, Viall barely behaved like someone who actually wanted to find a life partner – the 36-year-old’s antics had mostly been a show of disinterest and puzzling choices that would come off as manipulative if his execution was less bumbling. And what could the “most shocking and dramatic bombshell in Bachelor history” possibly be?
