‘The Big Bang Theory’ Spoilers: Amy ‘Needs Space’ And The Wedding Doesn’t

The rundown for the first episode of “The Big Bang Theory” season 12 entitled “The Matrimonial Momentum” will explore the backstory of Sheldon’s supposed proposal on Amy. He doesn’t immediately turn to anyone for support; instead, he is going to pursue Amy.

How would Amy respond to learning that Sheldon planned to propose to her?

Last season, one of the episodes I loved was the prom episode, not only because it offered an intimate look at all of the couples, but it also led to a sweet exchange between Amy and Sheldon.

He should have put a ring on it. Sheldon (Jim Parsons) had plans to propose to Amy (Mayim Bialik) in the Season 8 finale of “The Big Bang Theory“, but they were spoiled when Amy beat him to the punch with a surprise break-up. Molaro says that Penny believes that she can get past the infidelity shown by her groom.

In the interview, Molaro revealed that Mandy’s reintroduction in season 9 will wreak havoc on Penny and Leonard’s upgraded relationship and that it’s not something that will entirely go away after a few episodes. Amy, on the other hand, will reportedly get hit on by Stuart. And that’s another way in which Leonard and Sheldon will continue to be “married”. While we don’t yet know what the fate of the “main” relationship of the show is going to be, it’s at least getting more and more certain that Leonard and Penny are very likely not going to drop their own relationship, and will take it to the next level like most fans were expecting. “It’s a little bit of a divorce, and it’s something that the group is feeling their way through”, said Molaro. Unfortunately, in a complicated twist, Penny ruins that chance – and later makes it up to him by bringing Lee’s home address out of Stuart. After all, who could forget when Penny gave Sheldon a signed napkin from him as a Christmas gift? “I think when you’re Penny, and you have an image that you’ve cultivated of a person for eight years now and those two things aren’t aligning anymore – that can be a hard thing to deal with”.

In her second cameo, she appears alongside Takei in “The Hot Troll Deviation”, again as part of Howard’s fantasies to chat about Bernadette.
