The biggest Cyber Monday deals of 2015
Today is officially Cyber Monday.
As far as the average discount goes, online sales during Black Friday and online sales during Cyber Monday were almost on par with each other, with Black Friday online sales coming in at an average 26 percent discount, and Cyber Monday online sales coming in at an average 24 percent discount on normal retail price.
Retailers have been touting online deals since the beginning of November.
Shoppers need to be especially careful of any unexpected pop-ups that they spot while shopping online.
The majority said they would do their bargain-hunting online during Black Friday and this weekend.
Cyber Monday itself is expected to be the biggest online sales day of the season and ever, surpassing $3 billion in sales.
In-store sales for Black Friday were down this year because more people did virtual shopping.

“I remember probably three or four years ago she said, well don’t bother you should Cyber Monday shop”. Or are they? With the popularity of Cyber Monday increasing year after year, shoppers want to know: when can you get better deals, Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
Amazon is offering new deals every 5 minutes starting Friday, Nov. 20, and extending through December 5 double the cadence of previous year.
And you may not even have to wait until Monday, as many online retailers have started posting their best deals soon after Thanksgiving on their websites. It also is offering more than 150 app-only lightning deals to encourage mobile shopping. Head to Target.com for 15 percent off purchases on Monday, which is the first site-wide discount for the retailer.
And roughly 75% of this year’s dollars will be spent on just 1% of the product categories available – namely computers, televisions, phones, video games and other electronics, along with gift cards and toys – because people tend to buy more expensive items during the holidays, she said.
According to the National Retail Federation, some 121 million shoppers are expected to do some online shopping today. Now, even with broadband access, Cyber Monday continues to be a day when retailers pull out big promotions.
Best Buy is also offering free shipping and in-store pickup.
Most of her shopping is done online via her iPhone and laptop, she said.
