‘The Conjuring 2′ Summons Chilling First Trailer

Production on The Conjuring 2 began in Summer 2015, shortly after Wan finished his press tour duties for Furious 7. Things will no doubt get very frightening for all concerned with returning director James Wan keen to double-down on the scares of the first movie.

Unlike a lot of subpar horror sequels, virtually the entire team behind the original Conjuring will be returning for this installment.

The Conjuring 2 stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Abhi Sinha, Lauren Esposito, Franka Potente, Simon McBurney, Simon Delaney, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Patrick McAuley, Benjamin Haigh, and Madison Wolfe.

As promised yesterday by Jason, the official teaser trailer has landed for James Wan’s The Conjuring 2, and we have that sucker below in all its spooky glory.

The Conjuring helped set off at least one spinoff that centered on their various collections of possessed items, like the Annabelle doll. Warner Bros. rushed a spinoff film about Annabelle the demonic doll which also did well at the box office, even if the critics weren’t particularly haunted by it.

Like The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2 is based on real events: the Enfield haunting is one of the most famous supposed poltergeist incidents in the United Kingdom, and the Warrens were among the string of investigators who visited the property in the 19 months during the haunting between 1977 and 1979.
