The CyanogenMod team released version 13 as nightly builds
The CyanogenMod community on Monday announced that CM13 nightly builds based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow are now available to download for select handsets.
Des Smith of T-Mobile said that the Android 6.0 M version MRA58X will be released for the Google Nexus 6 handset after it will get approved, Tech Times reported.
It was an HTC Twitter account that informed users when they will be receiving their Android Marshmallow update.
With all this in mind, CM13 includes support for some features, and if you want to try the newest version just go to CyanogenMod’s download page and take your pick.
Normally, nightly builds are not stable in comparison to the Snapshot releases.
Besides, if you are looking to do a dirty flash from CM12.1 without using “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” feature, you must update third-party add-ons such as Xposed or OpenGapps, soon after installing the CM13 ROM. Here are the devices with official CM 13 nightlies today.
The latest version in the Android OS fraternity, Marshmallow, started amusing the smart phone users. There are also changes that are set to improve its memory usage.
A new feature found on Marshmallow, Android Doze, is also provided in the nightly build of CyanogenMod13 update available for the Asus Nexus 7.
CyanogenMod also advices that if you are running on the Snapshot release channel, you should stay put with it for now. However, you can update your existing CM12.1 nightly device with a CM13 nightly build if you are really willing to accept an inferior experience. CyanogenMod also mentioned that those who use nightlies can manually flash the update, but users who are using an unofficial CM13 build should go for a full factory reset before proceeding. It plans to release a higher-end flagship device at some point next year, alongside multiple budget-friendly $75 smartphones.
