The Division Closed Beta Times Revealed
These tackle the virus, factions and restructuring. It will end on January 31, unless Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment find a good technical reason (maybe to stress the servers even more) to extend it.
In a recent interview with Xbox On, Ubisoft Massive Associate Creative Director Julian Gerighty explained that the story of The Division has been broken down into three separate threads.
All you need to do is follow these steps. And once you’ve completed all the missions in that story thread you’ll have all the pieces of the puzzle that you’ll put together and get an extra piece that will give you a different perspective on that story.
Next up, you will be looking into the different factions, their “genesis”, how they came to be what they are and how you can help push them back and keep the survivors safe. Story-wise, not much has been unveiled aside from a biological attack on Black Friday in NY and a virus that infects millions of people and travels through money, which causes the president to roll out Directive 51.
The game’s story will revolve around a pandemic that befalls NY and devastates the city.
It was revealed in the interview that the Dark Zone, the game’s PVP battles, will not feature any loading or matchmaking and will instead be seamless with the rest of the game.
Tom Clancy’s The Division closed beta will be available for Xbox One on January 28 and for PlayStation 4 and PC on January 29.
After several delays, the game is set for release on March 8 across platforms.
