The final Android Nougat Developer Preview (version 5) released
Android Nougat is set to be released in the late part of September, Tech Advisor has learned. They based in on what they’ve seen and the information they got, meaning that they might not necessarily be 100% accurate, but they should still give us a clue as to what to expect all the same.
The final Developer Preview 5 doesn’t add any new features, rather it’s brings the final few touches, bug fixes, and optimizations to the operating system and pre-installed apps.
If you’re considering to download the final Android 7.0 Nougat preview on your device, you must be enrolled into the Android Beta program. If you’d rather not wait for the OTA, you can manually flash the latest system image to your phone or tablet.
If you find new bugs, Google asks that you report them to the N Developer Preview issue tracker or the N preview community. As before, the preview is available on the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G.
Very recently news came out saying the final version of Android Nougat could begin rolling out to users much sooner than expected and it looks like we’re one step closer to that full release. The Play Store is already able to accept apps targeting Android N, so once the testing is done, developers are encouraged to publish their Android N apps.
In June Google officially announced Android N will be called Android 7.0 Nougat, and today stated it’s still on track for a release this summer.
This is it for now, folks.
According to Rogers, as cited by GSM Arena, Android Nougat is listed for HTC’s Nexus 9. Be sure to share how you like it compared to the previous build.
