The First Trailer For Star Trek Beyond Is Both Fast and Furious
Regardless, with Star Trek Beyond Paramount is certainly taking this franchise in a bold new direction.
Set to The Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage”, this trailer has a ton of energy and effects that, even though we’re still 7 months away from release, look great.
Bear in mind that we’re still waiting on Paramount to debut the Star Trek Beyond trailer officially, and there’s a slim chance that the one attached to The Force Awakens will be slightly different to what we see today. The first two Star Trek films made money, but Star Trek Into Darkness made less than the first and left fans with a bad taste in their mouths (it was voted by fans as the worst Trek movie of all-time).
The IMAX release of “STAR TREK BEYOND” will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology. Leave your comments in the usual place and let us know what you think.
Thus, it is neither a coincidence nor sinister conspiracy that Abrams might want to use the unveiling of his potential movie magnum opus to help promote his other franchise baby in Star Trek Beyond.
There are plenty of people out there – die hard Trekkies that I’ve met – who are not a fan of the actionizing of Trek. It will be in theaters July 22, 2016 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, and John Cho.
While Star Trek has not been excessively dramatic in the past, it also hasn’t been a big laugh riot either.
