The Flash Gets New Powers in Season 2 Featurette
Actor Grant Gustin attends The CW Network’s New York 2015 Upfront Presentation at The London Hotel on May 14, 2015 in New York City.
Earlier today, we got a first look at Zoom in an exciting new promo trailer for The Flash season two, and The CW has now followed that up with a poster. Fans will simply have to tune in to see what Cisco will do, as a way to cope with his new powers. Valdes stated in an interview that Cisco will have a hard time grasping his status as a metahuman due to the revelation that Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh/Matt Letscher) told him during the show’s season 1 finale. “He has a future, that future is related to him being affected by [the] particle accelerator explosion”, Valdes added. Here’s the officially released synopsis for the episode courtesy of Comic Book Resources.
To give more details about the new addition, EP Andrew Kreisberg differentiated his character with the main character, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). He said that unlike Barry, who had a smooth transition to being “The Flash“, Cisco will struggle with his ability to “look into the other timeline”. In the DC Comics, he will become a superhero Vibe with the ability to control vibration both molecular and sonar. Eddie Thawne is dead, and life has to find a way to move forward.
Much more organic than the Reverse-Flash suit. His deceased body what sucked into the singularity. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own.
Fans of The Flash already know that Zoom is coming to menace the Fastest Man Alive in Season 2, and that Tony Todd is giving the “demon” his voice. If he does return to the show, he will likely go after Barry after he is forced to make the decision to kill himself to save him knowing Barry was not strong enough beat Reverse-Flash.
