The Flash: Jesse Quick Cast for Season 2
ComicBook.com says that Demore Barnes has been cast as Henry Hewitt, better known as the Firestorm villain Tokamak, arriving as “a charming, but cocky scientist who was affected by the same Particle Accelerator explosion that created the Flash“.
The Flash has been confirmed to be adding a couple of new characters for its highly anticipated second season and another Speedster has been cast – providing a little girl power. Violett is to appear in multiple episodes caught between Flash and this season’s overarching villain, Zoom.
TV Line is now reporting that newcomer Violett Beane has joined the show as speedster Jesse Quick, marking her first television role following on from her work on two upcoming movies Flay and Slash. After Caitlin Snow hires him to be a part of STAR Labs, he may take advantage of this moment to fulfill some sort of destiny that he has laid out for himself as a powerful meta-human. In addition to her speed powers, she also has enhanced strength and stamina.
In comic book lore, Jesse Quick is the daughter of Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle, who inherits her fast speed from a formula handed over by her father when he decides to pass down his secret while hoping to create a successor.
So how will she join in The Flash fun?
The way Season 1 concluded, you may think that we’ll be picking up right where we left off. Well, not quite so.
“Linda Park will return as Iris West’s friend and colleague at Central Picture News and her past relationship with Barry will put both Iris and The Flash in unexpected danger” Gabrielle Stanton told the site.
The Flash Season 2 will begin on Tuesday, October 6 on The CW.
