‘The Flash’ season 3 episode 15 spoilers: Savitar returns
Anxious that Savitar may be spying on the team through Wally, Barry dismisses him from STAR Labs with a gratuitously dickish “Wally, you’re out”.
The synopsis also states that a unsafe secret will take a toll on Barry and Iris’ happiness.
The trailer for the latest episode of The Flash Season 3 focuses on the murderous speed god Savitar possibly returning to Central City.
READ: “The Flash” Season 3: Is Savitar Future Flash? Of course it makes sense that as soon as Iris learns about this, she’s hurt and upset. I didn’t do last week justice by forgetting to mention Barry and Iris’ engagement but apparently it didn’t really matter because it was all just for show. And yes the meltynauts, Wally shares a special link with the Big Bad of this season since it is Savitar who gave him his powers.
The culmination of everything, at least for now, took place when eventually Savitar took Wally into the Speed Force, and climbed out, proclaiming that he was free. As the team celebrates, Wally catches a fleeting glimpse of Savitar on a nearby rooftop. Absent since the Winter Finale, we are anxious to know what has become of him.
Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, the entire team is brought together but they don’t know why. Cisco thinks he can do something with the piece of Savitar that was left inside Barry.
At first, Iris and Barry were all smiles when announcing their engagement to the rest of Team Flash. Barry said he wanted it to be a surprise, but it might also have to do with the fact that his proposal wasn’t entirely motivated by his love for Iris.
They need to talk to Savitar again, and Julian is more than reluctant to be their personal walkie-talkie, but Caitlin (DANIELLE PANABAKER) talks him into it, and Cisco (CARLOS VALDES) sets up the equipment. Caitlyn insists that is not true but Julian storms off regardless. This one is between Jesse and Wally, and he makes the very real point that everyone else seems to have forgotten, which is that the origin of his powers means Savitar might have control of him. Barry is confused because Savitar isn’t there, it’s just Wally’s mind tricking him. While talking, Wally sees a vision of his dead mother.
Savitar’s plan, as he reveals at the end of the episode, has been a patient long con. Wally, trying to be heroic, mistakenly throws the remaining piece of the stone into the speed force and unwittingly gives Savitar everything he needs. Savitar appears to him and taunts him about not being fast enough, which gives Wally just the kick he needs to run faster, open the portal, and throw the Stone in.
What follows was brutal for any fan of the show. On this trip to the future, Wally notices Iris’ ring finger is empty, which leads him to figure out that Barry only proposed to Iris to change the future. Threatening Barry with death, the two speedsters fight.
Before The Flash teaches us all how to sing and dance in the upcoming musical crossover with Supergirl, things will seemingly get worse for the Scarlet Speedster and his pals before they get better. Caitlin has to pull it out by hand back at Star Labs (definitely the worst injury on the Flash like ever). Barry got stabbed through the chest, figuratively and literally. With Wally trapped and Iris’s days literally numbered, Barry is against the ropes.
“Fear makes us do a lot of things that we shouldn’t”. His Kid Flash chest emblem falls to the ground. Cisco does have Savitar’s blade to work with in hopes of getting them something.
