The Force Awakens Almost Included Another Classic Star Wars Character
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda are certainly possibilities for new Hero characters, even if they would not exactly fit Star Wars canon.
In that book you’ll find that this guy is the lead administrator of Nima Outpost, that location on Jakku in which Finn meets Rey. You can, and your entire film-watching experience will be just fine and dandy, but just to dot the t’s and cross the i’s, we’re going to play it safe and say – don’t do it!

With China yet to see the movie open, many movie buffs and industry insiders are holding their breath to see whether or not JJ Abrams’ take on George Lucas’ franchise will be a reasonable challenger to James Cameron’s earth-shattering box office giant, Avatar, when it comes to final sales figures. Abrams seems to value such respite. And so the journey begins again with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
It’s been many years and three less-than-stellar prequels, but it’s been worth it to see Harrison Ford in the role that will always rival Indiana Jones as his most iconic. Holograms that are used to show the might and menace of the evil empire are not as tacky. To Abrams’ credit, instead of feeling repetitive or coming across as lazy writing, he makes it feel like one universal story that spreads itself over space and time.
The last Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker is at large and in his absence, the First Order is at its most powerful.
While those kids who are off from school and college this week are completely distracted with Force Awakens, the industry is hoping for a trickle down effect from Star Wars. But in the event you haven’t, there is good reason you should. His conflicted nature and his yearning to become one of the Force members and not the First Order is quite evident.
