‘The greatest Dad on earth’ – Bindi Irwin pays tribute to late father
Hands on: The daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin carried her belongings to her mother Terri’s awaiting auto after a grueling dance rehearsal with partner Derek Hough in Calif. on Friday.
In her very next Instagram post, Bindi told her followers that November 14 was Steve Irwin Day in her native Australia.
“The greatest dad on earth”, Bindi wrote on Instagram Sunday alongside a photo of Steve smiling while holding up a crocodile. “We miss you so much and are extremely proud to be carrying on in your footsteps”. Today, let’s celebrate together on the other side of the world, today on November 15.
We feel like “Dancing with the Stars” really worked as hard as humanly possible to try to make people think that there could be an elimination tonight.
She and partner Derek Hough earlier performed a salsa routine set to Sia’s cover of You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile, before Bindi dove into the arms of the audience and crowd-surfed. As a hero in the animal activist world, this day will forever remember all Steve did to mark his legacy.
In a pre-taped package Bindi also opened up about what it was like growing up filming documentaries with her family. The zoo then posted another photo on the holiday explaining that all zoo-goers wearing khaki would receive 10 percent off admission.
Bindi and Derek also won a samba dance-off against Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess, which earned them an extra three points. Without you this would have never been possible. “I’m blessed to be a part of your world”.
Bindi celebrated Chandler’s 19th birthday by sharing this cute, cuddly snapshot of the happy couple, along with a heartfelt message.
“It’s officially #SteveIrwinDay in Australia” the 30-year-old dancer wrote in his caption.
