Last month, Lionsgate also unveiled a new trailer for the highly anticipated installment while Lawrence took to Facebook and shared a special photo with the caption: “6.9.15 #MockingjayPart2 #Unite”. Wedding bells for Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin) and Annie Cresta (Stef Dawson) have been set after reuniting together, putting all missions on hold as the couple and their close friends enjoy themselves at a wartime marriage ceremony.
Not only will she be trying to defeat President Snow (Donald Sutherland), but Katniss also has to deal with the recently brainwashed Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), while trying to keep her family safe.
Katniss Everdeen – played by Jennifer Lawrence – Panem’s District 12 revolutionary heroine is finally back to seek revenge and justice from the cold-blooded President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland.
Exclusively revealed by Entertainment Weekly, the new image shows Katniss and Effie sharing a warm moment as they get ready for what’s to come. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games as she realizes the stakes are no longer just for survival – they are for the future.
I personally love these posters, because the most interesting part of the Hunger Games series so far (especially the parts that don’t overlap with the far superior Battle Royale) is the exploration of the dynamics of a revolution. No Haymitch. No Effie.
