The kids are all wild in the trailer for Kindergarten Cop 2
Plus there’s a pig for seemingly no reason so you know they’re stepping up their game this time around.
Throughout his four decade career, worldwide superstar Dolph Lundgren has never faced a threat quite like this.
Directed by Don Michael Paul (Jarhead 2: Field of Fire), the film follows Lundgren’s character of FBI Agent Reed, who is undercover at a school in order to hunt down sensitive, classified data which has been stolen.
Kindergarten Cop 2 won’t have Arnold Schwarzenegger or a theatrical release, but the direct-to-video movie will still feature a recognizable action star and stay close to the original comedy’s entertaining premise. This means he must go undercover as a kindergarten teacher.
“Kindergarten Cop grossed over $200 million worldwide and has been entertaining audiences of all ages”. Unfortunately for Reed, he’s also old and out of touch, so the school’s liberal environment and emphasis on political correctness are a confusing surprise.
Kindergarten Cop celebrated its 25th Anniversary a year ago. The only difference is that Lundgren’s character doesn’t seem to have a pet ferret and he won’t enjoy a big box office weekend – the movie is set for a straight-to-DVD release on May 17th. Are you going to check this one out or is it just a shameless cash-in?
