The Last of Us 2 Reveal Trailer

It appears that the game is still very much in development, which means you shouldn’t hope to see if before late next year at the earliest.

“Let’s cut to the chase”, said Naughty Dog Creative Director, Neil Druckmann. Joel asks Ellie, “What are you doing Kiddo?” Some fans believed that Joel and Ellie’s story doesn’t need a sequel.

Speaking during a panel held at PlayStation Experience, Druckmann started by confirming that the sequel takes place a few years after the events of the first game, when Ellie is aged 19. We feel that as well.

Druckmann also gave out a small spoiler regarding the story: “it’s intense”.

Then Ellie’s calloused and shaking hands were focused on the next shot, where she was about to play a haunting song using a guitar. According to ND, Ellie has “seen some shit” and is ready to kick some butt.

He assures fans that so much thought was given to the sequel and that they also feel the worry of spoiling the first game due to their decision.

Naughty Dog has revealed two new games, with standalone expansion Uncharted: The Last Legacy and a sequel to The Last Of Us.

Naughty Dog on Saturday made a surprise announcement at the PlayStation Experience, unveiling the first footage from The Last of Us Part II. “You really gonna go through with this?” she vows to find and kill “every last one of them”. Regardless, The Last of Us 2 already has “game of the year” implications. It is rumored as well that the creators of The Last of Us 2 will be including sci-fi game ideas and building prototypes.

The Last of Us Part II is due for release on PlayStation 4, but doesn’t have a release date.

Since the game is still a long way off, stay tuned for more “The Last of Us: Part 2” news and updates as Naughty Dogs promised to release more details, soon. Considering how successful the first game was, we expect nothing less from the sequel as well.

But all we need to know is, The Last of Us Part Two is coming.
