‘The League’ to tackle deflated footballs and Marshawn Lynch in final season
In what has now become an infamous play, the Seahawks throwing the ball from the goal line instead of handing it to the heartiest running back in the NFL is a mistake that not only cost them a second straight Super Bowl victory but has left them open to endless amounts of trolling.
“I think I’m going to throw it”, Taco responds.
“We really tried to get Brady to be on the show”, he said. However, with a lawsuit challenging Tom Brady’s four-game suspension for allegedly being part of an effort to deliberately underinflate footballs last season, the show had to film alternate scenarios in case anything changes. “Let’s put it that method”.
The League returns to the small screen on September 9th and Entertainment Weekly got the chance to reveal an exclusive clip from the show’s season premiere featuring Marshawn Lynch. Will Forte, Rob Riggle, Ike Barinholtz, Zach Woods, and Leslie Bibb will all appear in season 7, alongside series stars Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, Jon Lajoie, Katie Aselton, Stephen Rannazzisi, and Paul Scheer. But one person who is being a good sport about the situation is Lynch himself. The duo is sitting on the beach in Mexico when Lynch saws he can easily run a beer over to a friend who is just a few steps away.
