‘The Martian’ Trailer: Bring Matt Damon Back Home
The first trailer went well enough that it helped push The Martian’s release date up from November 25, yet it will likely stay right where it is this time. He is, however, very much alive, and slowly begins plotting his return.
Ahead of its release next month, 20th Century Fox has debuted a launch trailer for Ridley Scott’s new sci-fi The Martian, starring Matt Damon.
Between the trailer playing and somewhat remixing “All Aboard The Watertower” in the second half, showing even more visuals, action and isolation, and showing more of NASA Earth bound employees Kristen Wiig, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Donald Glover, Sean Bean and Jeff Daniels, there is a fair share of an epic scale here.
During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. And then there are his crewmates, headed back to Earth on the Hermes ship, and seemingly kept in the dark about Mark’s status.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d say they were in the same… “In essence, this film is about a guy who controls all the feelings about what a bad situation he’s in, and where he is and therefore will look for that internally inside himself and pull out the elements that might make things humorous”.
And the film is sounding good too. “I just wanted to keep alive what Andy created”, he said.
The Martian is in cinemas on the 30th of September 2015.
