The Muslim woman who blasted Trump while wearing an American flag hijab
Republican Muslim Coalition president and founder Saba Ahmed may not have been the loudest contributor during a segment on Fox News’ The Kelly File Tuesday, but her American flag hijab spoke volumes.
They both appeared on Fox News to debate Trump’s recent comments that he would be keen on shutting down mosques in the wake of the Paris attacks. Obvs. Mosques = bad, Muslims = bad, terrorists = bad.
Host Megyn Kelly put it to Ahmed that “experts have said that mosques tend to be hotbeds for political activity, not as much religious activity”, to which Ahmed calmly responded “Megyn, we go to the mosque to pray“.
“It’s absolutely horrifying to hear that our constitutional rights to free exercise of religion are going to be challenged”.
“The mosque has nothing to do with terrorists”.
Katrina Pearson, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, starts spewing an assortment of nouns and verbs with all the coherence of that girl in your dorm who made a decision to major in sociology because she just really liked people. Another tweet said, “If yall allow American women to wear American flag bikinis/panties then a Muslim American woman wearing American flag hijab is a non issue”. “We have freedom of speech, we have freedom of religion”, she said.
