The new Nokia 3310
Mobile World Congress launches are coming thick and fast, with the latest deployment of new smartphones coming courtesy of Nokia. So, this time Nokia is back with updated model of always wanted and most demanded phone in the world Nokia 3310.
The phone will run on Nokia’s Series 30+ software.
– The phone can provide 22 hours of battery life, which is nearly 10X more than what the original Nokia 3310 offered. The 2.5G connection even lets you go online – albeit very slowly – to access Twitter, Facebook and other services through the Opera Mini browser.
Though the launch of 3310 seems like Nokia’s grand entrance in the feature phone segment, the company is still focusing heavily on smartphones. It offers 22 hours of talk time and close to one month of standby time.
And for those who were wondering – yes, you can play the legendary Snake on this 3310!
And finally, there is a new version of Snake on the Nokia 3310, the game that was introduced in the original 3310. But now, one can listen to FM radio and MP3, on this phone. The phones are not extravagant, don’t come loaded with crapware or useless features, and do exactly what it says on the tin.
HMD Global has released a new version of Nokia’s classic 3310 feature phone.
This is Nokia’s move to bring back nostalgia to the old fans while stepping into the new era.
The phone, which sold 126 million handsets until it was phased out in 2005, will be sold by Finish company HMD Global. The aim is open Nokia up to the next-generation of consumers not by embarking on a “tech and spec race” but through a “new, inspiring, purpose-led approach centred around stories”.
