The News Ledge: Huh… Ant-Man Trailer Spoils Avengers Cameo

Early reviews of Marvel’s upcoming release Ant-Man have revealed that the film has several references and tie-ins to the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The “Captain America” star is the first Avenger to make an appearance in the latest Marvel movie. The Wasp is a storied character in the history of the Avengers and deserves to feature prominently in the MCU, so fingers crossed those rumors are true.

There is no confirmation whether The Avengers will come to team up with the titular hero or not and there hasn’t been any video which captures the team. Lang was introduced as a reformed thief who must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Pym. He also tells Lang that Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) is obsessed with recreating his formula and if Cross is successful to make it, there will be a chaos on earth.

“Ant-Man” is one franchise Marvel is sure that will sell and talks are already on going about a potential “Ant-Man 2″. Jurassic World viewers have seen the preview for Ant-Man and the movie is getting more steam compared to Terminator Genisys. It’s a clever combination, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

But that doesn’t mean it won’t have wider connections to the rest of the Marvel-verse.

Watching the “Ant-Man” trailer, one can easily see that it is a ideal role for Rudd.
