The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P showcase Android Marshmallow’s best new features
Google is yet to explain exactly when the device will be available, other than to hint that it plans to have it with users by Christmas.
Just like the Nexus devices, Google‘s latest tablet offering is a flagship device, and promises to offer what all tablet users have been craving for – a powerful Android experience on a bigger screen.
Nexus 5X is a 5.2-inch smartphone by LG and Google and has 2GB RAM and will come in 16, 32GB options starting at Rs 31,999.
The company also showcased the next-generation Chromecast streaming devices and its improved personal assistant “Now on Tap”.
The tablet, which is expected to be all-metal will use a quad-core Nvidia X1 processor with RAM of 3GB and have a leather or aluminum keyboard accessories, said the report.
Nexus 5X, the successor to Nexus 5 launched in 2014, also boasts of similar features of Nexus 6P, except it has a 5.2 inch full-HD screen.
The company has unveiled Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P devices, the former is a smartphone made by LG, and the latter is a Huawei-made phablet.
For starters the Nexus 5X 16GB will be priced at $379 but if you were to buy it on Project Fi, you can expect a 24-month repayment plan of $15.79 a month.
In the latest surprise move aimed at countering the release of the newest version of iPhones, Google has released two new devices operating on all new Android software. It also features dual-LED flash, laser autofocus and 4K video recording capabilities.
The component also works with several phone sensors such as the fingerprint reader, gyroscope, and accelerometer-allowing the Sensor Hub to read and interpret gestures, activities, and more.
The price of the new Chromecast remains at $35. Both phones are available for pre-order but, won’t ship until October.
Finally, the Pixel C tablet sports an upgraded processor, 3 GB of memory and Android’s new Marshmallow operating platform – as well as an optional plug-in keyboard.
