The Obamas celebrate the game with wings, pizza and nachos
There are three sections of the Super Bowl party at the Obama White House, according to the way Barack and Michelle Obama tell it.
It was the first time that Obama had been joined for the annual interview by his wife and daughters, Sasha and Melia, who chimed in by stating that they were “just irritated” by the Wi-Fi situation.
As for the experience watching the game, President Obama said it’s not much different from what you’d find anywhere else. “This is an old building so there’s a lot of dead spots where the WiFi doesn’t work”. Obviously CBS hired King in part because she was friends with the Obamas.
“We have the serious watchers, that’s the Treaty Room”, the First Lady noted, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She then played a fill-in-the-blank game. Then there is the outside room where the kids are fooling around by the food.
The last room called the “champagne room” is where Mrs. Obama’s mother stays as well as people who “really don’t know what’s going” but wish to stay close to the wine.
President Obama is keeping quiet on his team pick for Super Bowl 50, but the same can’t be said for the First Family’s pets.
King also asked about the Obamas’ first date – a topic that made headlines earlier this year when a movie titled “Southside With You”, which sought to retell the couple’s origin story, debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. “We’re gonna have two types of salads”, the first lady added.
“No, actually it’s an issue”, the president responded. “I mean, you’ve known this person for a long time”. “Manning is completing his 18th National Football League season and his fourth for the Broncos”.
