The Real Reason Amber Heard Didn’t Take Johnny Depp’s Last Name
Johnny Depp has threatened drastic action against Barnaby Joyce if his wife is sentenced to any jail time in Australia over the unauthorised entry of their pet dogs.
Heard was charged in July on two counts of illegally importing the dogs and one count of producing a false document.
Depp himself, meanwhile, discussed the situation during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, saying that the situation is “by far the most interesting” legal trouble he has ever experienced.
Asked if he had “smuggled” the pair’s dogs, Pistol and Boo, into Australia in May, Depp said he and Heard were under the impression they “had all the paperwork done for the dogs”.
“This sort of weird, sweaty… gut man… decided that… two five-, six-inch teacup Yorkshire terriers would harm the country in some way”, Depp told Kimmel, notes ABC News. In the video, Joyce then announces either the dogs were to be taken back to California, or euthanized. “Everything will kill you in minutes”.
Though Depp insists he didn’t sneak his beloved pooches into the country, “There may have been other things smuggled!” he joked. “Well, they seemed to miss that bit …”
Johnny Depp and Jimmy Kimmel got up close and personal on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ September 10 and kissed the moment Johnny walked out on stage.
The situation stems from May, when the couple traveled on a private jet to Queensland, where Depp was filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film.
“If they did that I’d just fly to Australia and assault that man”, Depp responded.
Depp joked earlier this month that he killed his dogs and ate them “under direct orders of some kind of, I don’t know, sweaty, big-gutted man from Australia”.
Heard’s court hearing in the case was adjourned until November. 2, according to People.
