The Revenant premiere: Leonardo DiCaprio won’t
The 41-year-old is one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors again after recently ending his romance model girlfriend Kelly Rohrbach, who he had been dating since June (15).
We all know Leonardo DiCaprio hasn’t ruled out marriage… but what about kids?? The filmmaker’s entry in last year’s Oscar sweepstakes, Birdman, also took home the top prize while Inarritu himself captured the Best Director Oscar.
With its savage landscapes and tough filming conditions, survival drama “The Revenant” is an “homage to great filmmaking”, Academy Award-winning Mexican director Alejandro G. Inarritu says. But who knows? The Amal to Leo’s George could be right around the corner ready to tame his wild ways and replace that eventual Oscar (he has to win for The Revenant, right?!) as his most treasured relationship.
Best Picture Spotlight , an ensemble piece about a paper’s investigation into abuse by Roman Catholic priests, has had plenty of Oscar buzz along with Leo’s film The Revenant.
The Revenant is in cinemas on January 15. He’s also at the ideal age as an actor, he has all the talent, all the sensitivity.
Leonardo DiCaprio is not nervous about whether he will finally win an Oscar – because he says the hard work of actually shooting the film is over. For the movie Creed the much-loved veteran reprised his iconic Rocky Balboa character, playing the father figure to a young fighter.
“Do you mean do I want to bring children into a world like this?” he asked a Rolling Stone reporter who recently broached the subject.
The movie has picked up 12 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor.
DiCaprio’s competition for the 2016 award includes some big names and highly respected actors in signature performances.
Bryan Cranston in Trumbo, Matt Damon for The Martian, Michael Fassbender in the title role of Steve Jobs, and last year’s victor Eddie Redmayne in this year’s The Danish Girl round out the field.
