The Simpsons takes aim at Republican Donald Trump · PinkNews
To say Donald Trump’s campaign to become the next President of the United States has gotten off to a rocky start would be an understatement.
Watch Homer get swept up in Trump’s campaign, as posted online, below.
The Simpsons doesn’t return until September but the show’s creators are still finding ways to keep up with current events.
At the beginning of the short, Homer is tricked into supporting Trump’s presidency for $50.
Of course, this is a crack at the alleged report that Trump hired actors to act as supporters during his presidential announcement, paying them $50 to wear T-shirts, carry signs and cheer him on. Somehow, he ends up on the escalator behind the candidate before being sucked into the vortex that is his “hair”. After a few thoughts (“If I touch it, will it heal my baldness?”), he finds himself journeying through the “gravity-defying comb-over”. Once inside Trump’s hair, Homer discovers a netherworld inhabited by the simians from both Planet of the Apes and 2001: A Space Odyssey, as well as missing aviatrix Amelia Earhart and the Big Mac-stealing Hamburglar.
