The “Supernatural” Fans Ian Somerhalder And Nikki Reed Get Hitched!

The Vampire Diaries star, Ian Somerhalder, 36, and The Twilight Saga actress, Nikki Reed, 26, got engaged after just six months of dating.

The O.C. alum, Reed announced her split from her husband, American Idol season 10 alum, Paul McDonald, 30, in March 2014. The couple called it quits after nearly 3 years of marriage and their divorce was finalized recently. Somerhalder was previously linked to The Vampire Diaries costar Nina Dobrev. TVD stars split in May 2013, after 3 years of dating.

Reed, soon after her split from McDonald, moved in with boyfriend Ian Somerhalder in Atlanta, GA. The couple has since adopted several pets together from horses Millie and Eagle to a kitten named Sohalia and dogs Enzo and Nietzsche. The much in love couple have been spotted together in many public outings and expressed their love for each other on social media as well.

The engagement rumors went rife when Ian bought a vintage diamond eternity band for Nikki recently. The couple also spent the holidays with family, skiing and hitting the slopes in Sun Valley, Idaho. The two have been friends before and had feelings for each other but were always in another relationship. The couple recently stepped out together on the red carpet at the Golden Globes after party in LA. Somerhalder was snapped getting affectionate with his fiancée at the InStyle and Warner Bros. after party.

Nikki Reed’s first solo single Fly With Me, was released on iTunes. Reed and her ex husband, McDonald, despite the split continue to collaborate musically. In July, last year, McDonald talked about their album I’m Not Fallin and also on how Nikki had grown as a singer.

Marriage is on the cards and Reed revealed that she’s ready for the new chapter in her life and the couple looks forward to expanding the family soon.
