The video anyone thinking about taking drugs should watch
Jordy, who lives in Victoria, Australia, explained on his social media page he has recently been released from hospital after suffering a bad reaction to an ecstasy tablet he took at a party.
He said: “Doctors can’t believe I’m still alive so I’m grateful I’m still here”.
This 20-year-old has a powerful message for anyone thinking about taking illegal drugs.
Thank you so much for the love and support from everyone.
He took a $25 alternative because it was cheap (it’s unclear exactly what he took), which resulted in brain damage causing constant jerking and stuttering.
“Please take the time to watch and share this video”.
Facebook users were moved by Jordy’s video, with one user wrtiting: “Really touching story mate”. The more that can see this.
He told his Facebook followers: “Look guys, this isn’t for sympathy or anything, this is for awareness”.
“Everyone reacts differently to different substances, depending on size, mood, history and the rest, so because of that you can never predict how things are going to affect people”, he said.
The video has been shared more than 70,000 times – but Hurdes has also had to deal with negative comments about his condition.
He was left fighting for his life in hospital after taking the party drug and says he’s lucky to be alive.
“Just please guys, don’t get sucked in”.
His message aimed to let Australians who used party drugs, know that it could happen to them.
But instead of closing the door on life, he has chosen to potentially help millions of people to say no to drugs.
“MDMA is generally considered the least harmful, but you see what has happened in this case and people have died so for some people it can be serious”.
