“The Voice” Recap: Pharrell Loses an Artist
Braiden rocked out on “Renagade” by Styxx.
Korin Bukowski, “Titanium” – Did Korin do something with this song that we haven’t seen before? “I am so impressed”. Shameless! I could do without those dating show style questions from Carson to the contestants, too – they just seem like a forced addition to an already tense night. Mark says it’s time to show a different side of himself.
During the final section, Bukowski sang the Norah Jones song “Don’t Know Why”. Pharrell, who had also given Amy a few pointers on the song during rehearsal, said, “Wow”. Gwen gave Adam kudos for an incredible idea.
The remaining 12 contestants on NBC’s “The Voice” sing tonight at 8. I want that version of that song.
Team Pharell’s Mark Hood sang a Phil Collins classic, “Against All Odds”, according to Billboard.
“Working Gwen has been so inspiring”, he said.
I grew so much in my faith. “That can not be taught”. Baber’s teammates Emily Ann Roberts and Zach Seabaugh followed in the rankings, with the former taking 20th for her take on Patty Loveless’ “Blame it on Your Heart” and the latter landing in the 26-spot with Little Texas’ “My Love”. “You are one of the best in the competition”. That was such a cool song. She brings out an eerie edge lacking in the original, and she looks powerful on stage.
“…Look at this guy, hitting these notes and not missing them”.
On Team Gwen, Regina Love seemed like a lock to advance on The Voice Season 9 after her fantastic Knockout Round performance. “But, at the same time, there are lots of good things, and I do get to have a second chance, and I have a lot of joy right now”.
Arkansas high school teacher Barrett Baber put a country spin on the rock ballad “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx. She also suggested Korin “shock people” by getting a new hairstyle, going from brunette to platinum blonde. What comes out of you is real and passionate.
Madi Davis sang Jewel’s “Who Will Save Your Soul”. “Like, I can’t even believe it”, Stefani, 46, said when asked about her current “situation”.
I am different, my voice is different, and Im not afraid to show that. “That was awesome. I didn’t know you had such a bold voice”. Gwen’s contestant, Jeffery Austin, who had his breakout moment in the November 16 episode, was also announced safe, leaving the rest of the singers hanging about their fate. Your pitch is so ideal. I am envious of you. Obviously, you are going to get voted through. Tonight, you took the song to a whole new level. “It was so, so good”.
Miami country singer Shelby Brown picked a favorite song of her father’s – Jamey Johnson’s “In Color”. Adam added, “I am glad Blake brought that up”. But this is why I love you. And, don’t forget to click through our gallery to check out the background on each of the top 11 contestants who made it through to next week as we update it throughout the show. “It shows you are here to play”. So, who goes home tonight on The Voice US 2015?
Did you predict who would be eliminated this week and who would be at the bottom?
In a report by Hollywood Take, even Gwen Stefani revealed in last week’s episode how they are blown away by the performances of the artists. Jordan got a standing ovation from all four judges. Adam was pleased with Amy’s performance, noting he wanted to own Vachal’s version of the song. Sometimes there is so much about the world that is so sad. “I thank you as well”. Gwen said, “The entire performance, I kept thinking how old is he?” You are so seasoned. What did you think of the episode? Adam pointed out, “Last week was such a breakout thing”. Blake told Zach he’s never had an artist that was ready to “walk off the stage…walk out the door, get in your tour bus and go and be on your headlining tour”.
Pharrell Williams lost one of the members of his Voice team on Tuesday night’s edition of the NBC singing competition.
