The Walking Dead casts fan favorite Paul ‘Jesus’ Monroe for Season 6
If and when Negan arrives on the scene, fans of Glenn (Steven Yeun) might want to worry because-SPOILER ALERT-in the comics, the popular character meets his maker at the hands of Negan’s baseball bat, Lucille.
The actor will recur during the upcoming sixth season, with an option for season seven.

“Bob wasn’t a black character in the comics, but I wouldn’t wanna miss out on Lawrence Gillard”, Gimple explained. Jesus still plays a part in that storyline and becomes a key player in the fight against Negan. All sorts of people came in, from all sorts of different backgrounds and ethnicities.
It’s weird to imagine not using them.
Mark is going to tell us how to get in on all the Walking Death Pool action! He explained that Lawrence’s and Tyler’s auditions were fantastic that he couldn’t help but cast them into the roles regardless of race. Tyler’s audition was wonderful .
“There’s a particular story in that arc that I’m very excited for”, Gimple told The Hollywood Reporter.
We had said at the time that we don’t see the network having anything to worry about with numbers falling however after episode four, the show took another hit.
UPDATE 7:48 AM: AMC has confirmed to CBR News that Chandler Riggs has not appeared on “Fear The Walking Dead“. He will portray Paul Monroe, an extremely athletic survivor from another community who earned the nickname “Jesus” because of his uncanny resemblance to classical depictions of Jesus Christ.
