‘The Walking Dead’: Here’s Why Negan Burned Everyone’s Beds

He is everyone’s favourite post-zombie apocalypse dad.

Fans of The Walking Dead are now seeing Rick at his lowest point, seemingly broken by Negan’s brutal rule and appearing ready to give in.

All in all, the reveal that Shane is Judith’s biological dad doesn’t come as a huge surprise, but the confirmation is nonetheless welcomed.

Rick is a leader who feels the weight of all the lives on his shoulders. But there is no rest for the wicked as Negan makes his first visit to Alexandria way ahead of schedule. And Rick Grimes has lost his bite. Also, Michonne has a secret she is keeping from Rick.

Once he’s inside of Alexandria, Negan is excited by the possibilities. “I’m serious”, warns Negan.

Rick turned up and let him in. I just don’t know what I’ll do.

Calling Alexandria “an embarrassment of riches” he vowed to take as many of their valuables as he desired.

Now that Rosita and Spencer are back, Dwight takes the bike from them. He goes into detail about how he was in the hospital and his wife, Lori, was in a relationship with Shane, Rick’s friend and coworker. Michonne gets up to leave the house as Rick watches on. When Carl decided he and his gun were going to save the entire town all on their own, Negan decided the guns would go, too (perhaps the only time anyone agreed with Negan was in his assessment of Carl). But the show’s comic book counterpart showed that Rick’s fear in the face of Negan was really an act in order to catch the Saviors off-guard. “Shit, I would not have messed with that guy”. Knowing that the Saviors were back at the camp and were planning on taking all of their weapons, Rosita starts to plan a way they can find more guns while keeping them out of sight from Negan. Hopefully we’ll head to the Hilltop soon to see what’s up with her and Sasha, and to learn more about that community.

Next, Negan demands all of their weapons.

At the armory Olivia was forced to show the baddies the goods. What you take for granted, they’re eyeing and foaming at the mouth at the prospect of holding it.

After Negan makes disgusting comments about Sherry, Dwight leaves their compound and tells Rick and Ezekiel that he will basically be a spy in the Saviors for them.

“Well, pardon me young man, excuse the shit out of my goddamn Fench but did you just threaten me?” It led to Spencer spewing a bit of truth, which caused Rick to snap and make threats. He gives them to Negan.

‘There is no way out of this…

Rick gathers everyone in the chapel and begs that whoever has the guns turn them over now, that Negan is in complete control.

‘I’m not losing anyone else, ‘ he said weakly.

Disturbed as they are to see a group of Saviors bothering Enid, Rick hands over the guns to Negan.

“You see, we really are reasonable people once you get to know us”. She does. Rick asks if Daryl can stay in Alexandria. Then you have morons like Spencer who just have to add insult to injury.

But Daryl was mute once again. Who do you think will die? Spencer’s a dick, but it is nice to hear someone express dissatisfaction with Rick’s bad decisions. Maybe. Threatening? I guess. Yeah, Spencer, bad call talking about the deaths of Abraham and Glenn. Will Rosita’s quest for bullets and vengeance put Alexandria in jeopardy or will her defiance pull together a proper insurrection?

Michonne was furious that Rick had given everything away. “Widows, especially ones that look like that, they are special”, he explained. There’s more hope for the two of them after he opens up to her in the privacy of their bedroom, confiding that he’s always known that Judith isn’t his biological daughter. Does she come across the body of someone she knows? “This is where we are, we just gotta learn to live with it”.

‘You have to accept this, all of us do, or it won’t work, ‘ he sighed. After many tries on aiming at a walker, she ends killing it with her katana. They’re quick to take all of the luxuries they can find, including mattresses.
