“The Walking Dead” Hosts Huge Premiere of New Season in New York
Here’s a little information about next week’s episode of The Walking Dead.
Fingers crossed they’ve got it.
No one knows… yet. We’ve been looking internally for so long, it’s like everybody lifts their eyes to the horizon this season and it opens up a whole new world. One of the biggest highlights of the Season 6 premiere is Morgan and Rick’s reconciliation.
The previous season ended with discord among the series’ main group of survivors and the other residents of Alexandria, and Gurira shares how it has been thrilling to see how such drama is being unfurled in the new season. Well, that was before the endless of Walkers rocked up to destroy the serenity with their undead screams. Of course not. Rick puts on his detective hat and sets out to find the real reason.
The black-and-white segments were reserved for the more touching bits, while those vibrant and vivid colours were just so we could see those spatters of blood in even more detail. So, if any of the Rick vs. Morgan power-struggle rumors are to be believed, then Feral Daryl is Team Rick.
“I don’t think about it to be honest”. He hates Rick and is super upset about his dad being killed (understandably). Will the herd overrun Alexandria? All bad things tend to be his fault. “It was really surreal, man, because, again, anything I can say about the experience, I experienced it through the perception of a fan”.
THE WOLVES: We know the Wolves are coming. “It’s that simple.” Fair enough. Though he, Morgan and Michonne (Danai Gurira) eventually intervene, Carter feels like Rick is trying to get them killed. “I am and you are, too”. But every hour in this new world is a judgement call – and Rick’s the one calling the shots. I grew up (with) George Romero’s “Dawn of the Dead, ‘ ‘Night of the Living Dead” – those are my favorite movies and I grew up a half an hour from where they filmed those.
Back in the present, Rick, Carter, and company are watching the horde go by.
This isn’t the first time “The Walking Dead” has played with time in its episodes, and it won’t be the last.
What did you think? First popping up as Rick’s savior in Season 1, Morgan was focused on keeping his child alive and facing down his wife who had turned during the outbreak. And will this be the end of their haven? For the most part, his crew falls in line, and Deanna has given him her full support. Morgan notices Rick’s disturbingly cold interactions with the people he’s supposed to be protecting by forcing a few of the more unskilled townsfolk into a zombie confrontation! “Do you have any idea who you’re talking to?” he asks.
“When [Morgan] first met Rick he shoved a gun in his face, tied him to a bed, threatened to stab him in the head”.
