The Walking Dead Recap: “Start to Finish”
As TWD comic book fans know, Negan kills Glenn. However, the Season 6 mid-season ending was a little lackluster.
On tonight’s episode, guest talk about the “Start to Finish” episode of “The Walking Dead“.
“We just wrapped 24 hours ago on what I think is the darkest and most extraordinary season finale that we’ve ever attempted”.
Showrunner Scott Gimple added in a written statement: “We will be wooing you with the weirdest of Valentine’s Day gifts: chaos, terror, heartbreak, heroics, tragedy, and terror”.
Before the end of “The Walking Dead” season 6 episode 8, an impending crash toppled the strong walls of Alexandria. Sam will get pulled into the heard of zombies and Jessie will refuse to let him go even though it’s too late. Rick will reportedly be forced to cut off Jessie’s arm to save his son, whom when last we saw him was holding baby Judith. It’s no mistake that Micheonne reviewed those plans and was the last one to say goodbye to Deanna in the mid-season finale.
Everyone, from Rick and Carl to Morgan and Carol, were left facing the threat of hundreds (maybe thousands) of walkers invading the Alexandria Safe-Zone.
Who does it therefore belong to, Sasha asks?
Kirkman also shared that he introduced Negan in the 100th issue of the “Walking Dead” comic because he felt that a 100th issue is a natural place for people to stop reading, so he wanted to prove that the series was still doing interesting, shocking things – and he believes Negan’s introduction into the world of the show will serve the same goal. And he’s also known to wield a barbed wire-bound bat, dubbed Lucille, which he uses in the comics to kill one of the original members of our Atlanta gang. Who is Negan and why does he like napkins so much?
Obviously though, the storylines as they appear in the comic books are often changed for the TV show, and often radically, but either way, we can not wait for season six to continue in February…
In a teaser promo for the second half of the season, Daryl (Norman Reedus), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) are driving down the road, minding their own business, when they happen upon a group of bikers brandishing weapons.
