‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers
So if it’s not Glenn’s voice, whose is it? They’re playing with our hearts, doing shady things like dropping Steven Yeun’s name from the opening credits, but still building hope each week that we might finally know, for certain, if we’ve lost one of the show’s most beloved characters.
Daryl plods along in the brief video clip from this Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead, walking past the corpse of a walker lying on the forest floor.
Dwight and his two companions were attempting to flee a rather harsh sounding group – or so they wanted Daryl to believe – that made them kneel and follow a rigorous set of rules to survive.
Daryl, wounded, walks his bike into a nearby forest that had been burnt to the ground, and is covered with the charred bodies of walkers.
And it looks like that’s just what will happen, as in the final moments, Daryl finally reaches someone on the walkie talkie. Who are these people? Mikey, whom we haven’t heard from since last season?
On whether or not the new group introduced last night is Negan’s group The Saviors (via THR)”I don’t know, mayyyybe!” It’s Daryl’s world and we’re all just living in it. It just takes a few convincing to get past the rock-solid exterior to see into his gushy center. Before they can make their way back, however, they’re ambushed by a heavily-armed group of Wolves.
In the episode, Daryl also encountered a group of men led by a guy named Wade, whose storyline remains a secret. When he tries to leave again, the Supposed Saviors return and try to cause more trouble.
Daryl decides to return the insulin to Tina in exchange for their gun and the wooden figurine D had carved.
Even though we are happy to read that we’ll be seeing more of Glenn, we are not too thrilled about the fact that he may not be back as a living character. I was mad at AMC and mad at everybody-but that’s the point. It’s nice to hear him voice his belief in Alexandria as he’s usually one of the quieter ones.
In all the mayhem, Daryl got separated from Abraham and Sasha as another vehicle chased after him.
The problem with those scenes involving Abraham and Sasha is that they feel flat and lack oomph. Abraham grabs his new weapon before going back to Sasha. And every week, when the time comes, they laugh in our faces.
We’re sure Abraham’s aspirations will pop up again in the future, but for now, we’re glad he’s heading back to the safe zone. The only thing I’ll say is that it’s not Glenn, Reedus told Yahoo TV. The big question is: Will the person behind the “help” be revealed next week? Sasha keeps reminding Abraham that shooting a stray walker or two is like “leaving breadcrumbs” for those who may be hunting them.
