The Who postpones its Caesars Palace concert
Also being postponed are shows scheduled for September 16 in Anaheim, California, September 19 in Las Vegas and September 21 in Los Angeles.
The Who’s North American tour is being delayed, with the band announcing Tuesday it is scrubbing upcoming shows in Los Angeles, Anaheim and San Diego because singer Roger Daltrey contracted an unspecified virus. Those shows will be rescheduled, the band said in a statement, with details to be announced “in the coming weeks”.
The tour will resume in Portland, Oregon on 24 September (15).
“Subsequently the first 4 shows of the 2nd leg of ‘The Who Hits 50′ tour have been postponed”. They have previously had to cancel dates on the tour in London, due to illness, and Paris, in order to enable them to make a headline appearance at the 2015 Glastonbury festival. “We can not keep going on doing these month after month-long, extended tours”, he said.
No other details about Daltrey were provided.
