‘The Wiz Live!’ equals ratings gold for NBC, smashes ‘Peter Pan’
NBC’s third annual live musical production was up 21 and 38 percent from what last year’s Peter Pan Live! averaged, while shy of what The Sound of Music Live!

For “The Wiz”, Zadan and his producing partner Neil Meron turned to bigger names, including Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige.
TiVo said the show’s top moment for people rewinding and watching again came when the Munchkins told Dorothy to “follow the yellow-brick road”.
