The X Factor host Olly Murs splits from long-term girlfriend Francesca Thomas

Olly Murs and his long-term girlfriend Francesca Thomas has split up after three years together.

According to The Sun, the X Factor host and property manager Francesca Thomas, 26, called time on their relationship following a holiday last week.

It’s thought the pair drifted apart as Olly, 31, juggled filming X Factor with relaunching his music career.

A spokesperson for Murs confirmed the break-up to Digital Spy.

Last night a source said Olly was heartbroken as Francesca was “the first woman he planned a future with”. “Now, with X Factor & his singing on the go, in that is precisely what has occurred”.

“He always anxious that his relationship would struggle because he’d put his career first”.

He has been putting the hours in at the gym in recent months, but she didn’t like his new six pack.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine at the time, he admitted: “The missus doesn’t like six-packs, so she’s not a big fan”. She misses the comfort belly, something to snuggle up to!’

Despite Olly’s heartache, there is one person who will be pleased to hear the news – Caroline Flack’s mum.

Sources say that Olly’s career – which is going from strength to strength after the star was named co-host of The X Factor – played a part in the couple’s split. “I have to figure out how I can combine my work and relationship”.
