There are finally pictures of everything inside the Doctor Who Lego set
This isn’t the only LEGO based adventure the Doctor and the TARDIS will be embarking on in the near future.
For those wondering about the status of the upcoming “Doctor Who” Lego set, it seems that it will officially arrive soon: the Doctor Who Facebook account just released the first official photo of the set. At £49.99 RRP, the set (#21304) includes four minifigures: the Eleventh Doctor, the Twelfth Doctor, Clara Oswald and a Weeping Angel, plus 2 Daleks and assorted accessory elements such as the Doctor’s signature Sonic Screwdriver.
The set features a Tardis that opens up (it really is bigger on the inside), along with characters familiar to the series, including the 12th Doctor and Clara, the current version of the Doctor and his companion on the television series. The Lego set looks like it could have been inspired by 2013 episode The Time of the Doctor, in which Matt Smith regenerates into Peter Capaldi* and Daleks and Weeping Angels are also two of the key threats.
The idea for a “Doctor and companion” set was pitched by Andrew Clark to the LEGO Ideas community way back in February 2014. Fan Andrew Clark was the only one to get the 10,000 votes needed for The Lego Group to consider it for production.
What’s more, following on from yesterday’s reveal of the outside of the TARDIS you’ll soon be building (although, as we all know TARDIS’ are grown, not built) today, the BBC have teased us further with a glimpse of the control console.
