There’s nothing ‘great’ or ‘grand’ in ‘Great Grand Masti’

On the whole, GREAT GRAND MASTI fails to capitalize on the strong franchise value on the account of poor script which hardly offers any masti or entertainment to the audience.

Both the earlier instalments of the franchise were hugely popular and Grand Masti was the highest grossing film in the Rated A category. The film had nearly similar collections as Friday and now stands only around the Rs. 5.5 crore* mark. The case was not enough good for the second part after getting leaked before the initial release. Though the flick was released much before its destined date, yet it was not hyped for any big success. The experts are not expecting much of the surge in the coming days or the first weekend for the reason that Sultan is still ruling the box office.

The film which was expected to open big suffered a huge blow after its censor copy was leaked online over two weeks before its scheduled release.

GREAT GRAND MASTI is a ghoulishly unfulfilled and terribly ironic follow-up to the bawdy MASTI series that makes you feel bad for Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and director Indra Kumar because they had not actually hit this rock bottom until they agreed to appear in it. Kya Super Cool Hai Hum and Mastizaade failed terribly and so followed Great Grand Masti.

She got emotional and broke down in tears while she was saying, “We made a film and it was completely murdered by the piracy”. The flick has Zero sex, Zero Comedy and is Zero star as said by the critics. The audience are enjoying the comedy in the movie a lot. With controversies regarding its untimely leak followed by the bold and explicit content, does GREAT GRAND MASTI deliver what it promises – couple of hours of absolute rib tickling joy ride, let’s analyze. As per the official figures shared by Taran Adarsh, Great Grand Masti 2nd day collection is 2.5 crores.
