There will be no more Heroes after Reborn
“Heroes Reborn” will in fact remain a “limited series”.
The end of the show doesn’t come as a big surprise, as Kring told the Hollywood Reporter in September 2015 that the 13-episode miniseries would likely be it. “We’re making a contract with the audience that we’re actually going to do that”, Kring said.
“[One season] was always the plan, unless [creator Tim Kring] woke up one day and said, “I have another chapter to tell, ‘” Entertainment Weekly quoted Greenblatt as saying”.
What say you, friends? The one-season revival was always meant to be a finite story, but this answers the question of whether more would come after these characters’ stories played out.
According to THR, Kring previously told them he had ideas with which he could continue the series, but Greenblatt revealed Kring had never told him that when pressed on the issue.
Greenblatt explained that Heroes Reborn was produced from the very beginning under the auspices of being a miniseries, planned for only one season.
NBC’s superhero drama is finished … again.
Show creator Tim Kring recently said Reborn would be a closed-ended series, noting Heroes can be “rebooted, relaunched and recast as a franchise more than just an ongoing saga with the same characters”. Vote in our poll, and share your thoughts in the comments below!
The series finale of Heroes Reborn will air on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. Meanwhile, Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) has plans of his own to ensure the safety of his family that might put Taylor (Eve Harlow) in mortal danger.
