Theresa May wants a formal coalition deal with the DUP
Hogan said another British election might be needed to give a government a mandate to make the hard decisions required to secure a Brexit deal, as May was “very damaged” as a result of the poll.
May visited Buckingham Palace on Friday to seek the queen’s permission to form the government, with an “understanding” that she has the DUP backing.
May tried to reassert her shattered authority over the weekend by announcing her new cabinet – with no moves among her top team.
Beleaguered British Prime Minister Theresa May is appointing new members of her government after several of them lost their seats in Parliament in this week’s general election that proved disastrous for her Conservative Party. “There will be contact made over the weekend, but it is too soon to work out what we are going to do”, Ms Foster said.
“This will allow us to come together as a country and channel our energies towards a successful Brexit deal that works for everyone in this country, securing a new partnership with the European Union which guarantees our long-term prosperity”. It was anecdotal evidence on the ground that led people to think that Theresa May was making big inroads into the Labour white working class vote, a bit like, I guess, Donald Trump did in the States. That’s what we will deliver. “Lets get on with the job”.
The party with the most female lawmakers is the opposition Labour party with almost half of its elected members of parliament (MPs) women, while the smaller Green Party’s only elected MP is a woman.

The Labor Party now has 261 seats in Parliament.
With Home Secretary Amber Rudd, Brexit Secretary David Davis, and Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon all retaining their posts, there was speculation any reshuffle could be limited to replacing the eight ministers who lost their seats in the election.
Meanwhile, the Scottish National Party retained just 35 of the 56 seats it secured two years ago and lost its Westminster leader, Angus Robertson, and former first minister Alex Salmond. The main opposition Labour Party surpassed expectations by winning 262.
This morning we woke to the news that Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour have defied all expectations and successfully prevented May and her right-wing allies from getting an overall majority.
“We cant go on with a period of great instability”, he said, adding that the Labour Party was ready to fight another election campaign. Where I frame it is, we want a tariff-free access to the European market, we also want to maintain a very important university and research collaboration in Europe, and there’s a whole host of European agencies – Euratom, security, environment – in which we wish to be part of.
“It’s just how long she’s going to remain on death row”, former Conservative finance minister George Osborne, who was sacked by May when she became prime minister past year, told the BBC.
But former London mayoral candidate Zac Goldsmith returned for the Tories in Richmond Park with a majority of just 45 some six months after losing it to the Liberal Democrats.
