These Are All of the New Destiny Halloween Masks
Bungie has pushed a new update to Destiny in the dead of morning that adds more microtransactions to the game. Otherwise, you can wear them through November 9 and then, just like a ghost, they disappear.
When players sign in, they’ll be alerted to go to the Tower – which has been decorated with banners, candles, fireflies and paper lanterns everywhere. Players will be able to collect emotes, candy, and buy the “Treasures of the Lost” in the event.
Eris, on the other hand, isn’t a big Halloween person.
Legendary Masks can only be acquired during the Festival of the Lost, but can be worn after the Festival has ended. The event’s questline consists of several tasks which include collecting candy from various NPCs around the Tower by visiting Eva Levante.
Rare Masks are only available during the Festival of the Lost. Reports have suggested that Bungie will not ask Destiny players to stump up any more money for new content until the franchise’s next full retail release, expected in September 2016.
The development team says that it will use the revenue derived from it to fund a live events team that is supposed to deliver new quests and missions for free, with a solid content pack scheduled to arrive about every two months. Once the Festival has ended, these Masks will no longer be available.
The update also brings new emotes, including a zombie dance that is very similar to the dance in Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
For starters, the Festival of the Lost introduces a new Crucible map, the Cathedral of Dusk, which will only be available to those who’ve purchased Destiny: The Taken King. You will be tasked to get 3 Gold Medals in public events while wearing a Tiger Mask.
