Things between Sansa, Jon and Littlefinger could get very interesting
In honor of Friday’s kick-off of San Diego Comic Con, an interview between TV Guide Magazine and a few members of the “Thrones” cast has been making its way around the internet.
Of the nine actors who have appeared most frequently in GoT episodes according to IMDB, Turner was the only panel participant, and boy, did she shine.
Turner also humorously fielded questions about what Sansa Stark wants when asked by McElhenney whether her character sees Jon Snow or herself ultimately on the Iron Throne.
After the Battle of the Bastards, the 20-year-old English actress; who literally helped Jon win the war with the aid of Knights of Vale, has emerged as an important character in the show.
“At the end of the read through this season, I sat there thinking: ‘God, they are setting up for the end, ‘” she told The Red Bulletin.
“Game of Thrones” Season 7 will return in the summer of 2017. “Sophie Turner made us do vodka shots beforehand”, Benioff said, near the start of the panel, as Turner laughed hysterically down the table.
Sophie Turner has a kill list just like Sansa’s sister Arya, and her list is Kardashian-length. And while Game of Thrones has become famous for being one of the big Hall H panels that doesn’t reveal much, the room was still packed with fans eager to share the room with their favorite Westerosi faces. “We’ve been out every night this week celebrating your last night on Thrones, so…” While season 7 won’t be coming until summer of 2017 (sob), the show did premiere a teaser trailer at Comic-Con.
“I’m not sure she believes Jon is capable of running Winterfell in the north. She thinks he doesn’t have the intellect, the knowledge, and the experience that she has”, Turner added with a sly smile, “and I concur”. Jon Snow has shown he has a thing for redheads in the past, right? “And it was a more dramatic moment when they show up, and it makes for better television”. “But Sansa and Jon have grown up together”.
She was later booed for suggesting that Littlefinger should be on the throne, calling the potential plot twist “fun and quirky”. Major spoilers for the most recent season follow. She also hinted at what it could mean for Sansa’s (alleged) bastard brother, Jon Snow.
