Things to Know Now About the School Shooting in Washington State
The shooting suspect, whom police have not identified publicly, was apprehended after the shooting at Freeman High School in Rockford, near Spokane.
Armed with a pistol and rifle, classmates say the shooter’s face “was passive” in the hallway of a high school in a tiny Washington state town.

He was coldly killed by a single bullet to the head and the gunman continued shooting before Bowen intervened.
Bowen did not respond to requests on Thursday morning. The documents say Sharpe then fired down the hallway, wounding three other students.
KREM-TV writes that a parent from the high school said the suspect and the fatal victim were known as “best friends”.
Sharpe’s mother told detectives there was a suicide note written by Caleb inside their house that was written more than a week before the shooting.
